General Information: *

There is a qualification fee for anyone seeking nomination as a Democratic candidate. For salaried offices this fee is typically 2% of the first year's salary. This fee is paid to the MCDEC prior to the Primary Election for that office.

MCDEC can only provide very limited support to candidates prior to primary elections to avoid any appearance of favoritism.
